David Casavant CFM, LEED AP is an OSHA regulatory consultant and trainer with over 20 years’ experience serving clients in both general industry and construction fields.
David is an adjunct instructor at Rockhurst University and the Program Director at the Sustainable Workplace Alliance (a 501(c)(3) non-profit adult training organization). Under David’s directorship, the Sustainable Workplace Alliance has been awarded training grants from the U.S. Department of Labor, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
In the last 15 years, David has personally trained over 10,000 professionals in difficult Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) topics. He is a regular presenter and keynote speaker at dozens of industry conferences and trade shows. You’ll read his articles in respected trade magazines and he was awarded the Distinguished Author designation for his first book, Emergency Preparedness – A Guide to Safety Planning & Business Continuity.
His latest book entitled Surviving the OSHA Audit – Common Sense Solutions to Your Most Feared OSHA Compliance Issues was launched in the summer of 2017 and is quickly becoming the “go-to” resource for OSHA compliance defense cases.
David is an experienced OSHA safety expert witness and litigation consultant representing both plaintiff and defendant cases.
